At Reservoir Spectacles, we repair and adjust many pairs in-store, including glasses bought elsewhere. The options depend on the frame’s condition and the parts available.
Call ahead on 03 9460 8017, especially if these are your only glasses. Some simple repairs can be completed on the spot; we need to see the damage before confirming timing.

Loose or missing screws
We may be able to replace a missing screw and secure the frame again. Bring any loose pieces with you.
Nose pads and comfort
Many nose pads can be replaced. We can also assess glasses that slip, pinch or sit unevenly.
Bent frames and broken arms
Some frames can be adjusted or repaired using suitable spare parts. The material, damage and overall condition determine what is practical.

What to bring for a glasses repair
Keep everything together
Bring the frame, any loose lens, screws or broken parts in a case or small container. A spare pair can be useful while your usual glasses are assessed.
Protect the frame from further damage
Avoid forcing a bent arm or continuing to wear a frame with a sharp or unstable break. Tell us what happened and whether the fit changed suddenly.

Repair, reglaze or replace?
Start with the condition of the whole pair.
We keep spare parts and repair tools in-store and may be able to replace or adapt a small fitting. Repair is not always possible, particularly when a frame is badly damaged or suitable parts are unavailable.
If the frame is sound but the lenses need updating, reglazing your existing glasses may be an option. We can discuss the frame and prescription lenses together before you decide.

Can you repair glasses on the spot?
Sometimes. Screws, nose pads, tightening and basic adjustments can often be dealt with quickly. More involved damage or the need for a particular part can take longer. Call first if timing is important.
Can you fix glasses bought somewhere else?
Yes, you are welcome to bring them in. We will assess the frame and explain what is possible.
Should I repair my old glasses or buy new ones?
It depends on the frame and lens condition, the repair needed and whether the glasses still suit you. We will explain the practical options after looking at them.
