A new frame may be safer if the existing one is brittle, cracked, heavily worn, stretched, poorly fitting or unsuitable for the prescription.
We take care when handling existing frames, but an older or worn frame can sometimes break during lens removal, fitting or adjustment. If we believe the risk is significant, we will discuss it with you before proceeding.

Prescription checks
Do I need an eye test first?
We may be able to use a current, suitable prescription. If it is old or unclear, or your vision has changed, we may recommend an eye examination before ordering lenses.
